Just bought below HO scale model on auction in New Zealand.

Nicely weathered and with new smoke generators in chimneyThumpUp

It will go nicely in my industrial areaBigGrin

As per seller it’s a FALLER product? However browsing through catalogue/web I have been unable to locate model/year.

Anyone knows where this model is from?

Thanks - Brgds Lasse

Hi Lasse,
I had this building back in either the late 60s/early 70s. It is from Faller and it looks great
with a smoke unit in the smokestack. Wish I still had it! Cheers,PeterThumpUp Smile

Hi Lasse

I have this model and it came on a base with a small coal bunker and an outbuilding.

I think it was from the 70s.

I bought mine in the 80's and I just bought 2 smoke generators, one for this building and the other is for a brewery.

Hi Ian,

I don't have a catalog, or if I have, then I can't find it. I have this model, or rather had - it sits on the layout that I (80 %) and my brother (20 %) built in our parents house, which is now my brothers house. Nevertheless a quick search on Google revealed the number Faller B-265. A new search on Faller B-265 gave this link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...KIT-NEW-mc-/130599848212

That model is sold. But this one on German eBay isn't: http://www.ebay.de/itm/F...&hash=item1c28981163

If you would get hold of the B-265, then I'd guess you would avoid the brewery 130960: http://www.faller.de/App....11970/130960_fg_02.html

I also have the Faller B265 factory. Its small size makes it ideal for my layout. I really need to get a bit of weathering on mine!

I have had this model since about 1975 too. I have noticed that Faller used the main building in more than one kit - I seem to recall a brewery using the same main building. As I kid I was very impressed by the missing plaster on the corner with the brick showing through....

In 1989 I did a digital demo layout and included the factory. Not having a smoke unit, I made a hole through the table under the smoke stack and built an incense burner under the layout in a metal tin. I would light a stick of incense and it produced a good amount of smoke from the stack!

Hi Dale

I like the idea of an incense burner under the factoryThumpUp All sorts of smells could be emitted.LOL

You are quite correct - the brewery uses the same front building. I have both buildings on my layout and my reasoning is that the same architect designed and built them as the town developed.

Nice one, using the same technology as the Tiger loco ... BigGrin

I must admit that having too much smoke from smoke fluid get a bit irritating, so having this as an alternative solution to produce 'smoke' is appealing.
