Here's the kicks off of the digital Faller Decal Bank. If you have Faller decals it would be great if you can share them here with your fellow modellers. Marco File Attachment(s): B-91.pdf (211kb) downloaded 421 time(s). |

Hi This data bank for decals is great. I have a naive question: Is there a way to redo decals? Another question: my rail decoration is after the 50's 60's and I cannot find a source for adverts and shop names, relief letters, etc as proposed by Faller item 922 ("Schriften") except for a partly used one for 50€ ( https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_...r+schriften&_sacat=0.) Are there other sources please? Cheers Jean |

One can make one's own decals: if so make sure you buy the decal paper: 1) With a white base layer (because you cannot print white on most printers, and the color printing is designed to be printed on a white background (for the right brightness) 2) Get the type that matches your printer type (inkjet or laser) - using the wrong one leads to unsatisfactory results 3) Seal in the decal printing
Or you can have them printed for you and shipped - you could draw up your own artwork or hire the printing company to do the artwork if you give them an image of what you want and some dimensions.
For the 3d plastic signage - the way there today is to 3D print that stuff. You may be able to find a premade 3d model on shapeways or have to create it yourself and have it printed and shipped to you (assuming you buying a 3d printer and getting good with it is beyond the scope of replacing a few lettering signs) |

Back into this old topic because it came up in the FB group. Adding the Decal sheet for the B-215 Cafe / Petrol Station. And also the actual rotating sign mount, note that Mercedes and VW are formed from the actual plastic so they are effectively 3D rather than a flat decal From the two sheets I have (B-4916 & B-215) it seems seven sign options are possible Ford, Mercedes, Opel, VW for cars Coca-Cola, Esso, Shell for products And maybe others? Cheers Cookee Adding the B-4914 as a jpg (from the original start post at the top) |

I wanted a Ford blue oval sign. Faller still includes blue plastic ovals in some kits. I think they came with my Jet petrol station. I sized and printed one and glued it to the plastic.
