How about a list of secondary addresses?

Joined: 10/02/2006(UTC) Posts: 3,997		I am helping a friend alter some parameters on his Märklin 36631 loco. The instructions do not mention any secondary address for functions above F8, yet there are another 7 functions that are accessible with MS II, CS I & II and the CS III I know that my Baden IV loco also did not state what the secondary address is, but I found out what it is somehow (someone told me I think). With a 6021 or Intellibox it is not possible to read values from the decoder to find out directly. Is there a CV that is used consistently to define what the secondary address is? 75? I am therefore wondering if it would be useful to compile such a list here. Something like this: Catalog: 36631 Secondary address: nn or Catalog: 36631 Secondary address: none or Catalog: 36631 BR 187.0 Primary: nn Secondary address: nn

Joined: 16/02/2004(UTC) Posts: 15,267 Location: DE-NW		Hi! With most Märklin locos the secondary address is set to 255 ex works. It can be changed with CV 75, so it does not matter that you cannot read it. For some decoders you can set a third address with CV 17 and a fourth address with CV 18. The default values are usually 254 and 253, but in most cases only 2 addresses are active by default. See also: http://blog.mailez.de/eb...unctions-with-mfx-locos/
