Hi
Remember the old passenger wagons and rolling stock that Michael was looking for a swap. After some emails back and forward we agreed on a swap and we each paid for each others postage. Michael was happy and so was I. Without this swap I doubt if I would ever see or own a 351SB. It was a bit of a risk as I was not sure if the box was original as the numbers and letters had faded so much. So when the package arrived I was able to match the top and bottom together and with a soft rubber I was able to expose the original numbers. I had to do a light restore on the box as it was falling to bits. Eventually I was able to contact Franz Nowak who had been in hospital. I bought all the spare parts and quite a few other bits for a RS800.1. I compared the prices to TTN and Ritter and was surprised at the difference. My parts from Franz cost 300 Euros including postage, From Ritter they would be over 500 Euros plus postage and over 900 Euros from TTN. Attached are some photos of the finished wagon. The rivets and pins for the couplings are a problem and would be better if I had some special tools.
Thanks again Michael
