Hi,

My newest project are interiors for the older 3yg Umbauwagen 4067, 4079 and 4080. They are easy to install: Remove the couplers, find the clips under the couplers and open the wagon. Put the interior in. Close the wagon. The interiors are designed to use with the original interior lighting #7074.

Very interesting Markus!
I have a few of these myself, which I have upgraded with SYMOBA short coupling mechanisms (Kurz Kupplung Kinematik)
That inseet would be the next upgrade, but I'd rather install modefn LED based lights, with the pick up in the baggage car and fed through current conducting couplers.
One of these day I know I will give in to 3D printing!
Cheers
Jacques

Hi Jacques,

If anybody is interested I can also publish these without the hole for the slider and the bulb. And the cut-outs in the seats for the bulb. But I'm a fan of these classic solutions. I like flickering bulbs like at christmas 1968.

Markus

I use the Train Tech lights in these type of cars. No pick ups or large bulbs sitting in the middle of the coach and of course no flickering. The units can be cut to size to fit a coach and extra lights added if required.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Why am I not surprized that *you* like "flickering bulbs"
You have the best sense of "nostalgia" one could imagine!
Love it!
Thank you for the offer.
I know I am going to look for the right equipment and start my 3D adventures...and I'll be looking for ideas and learning projects.
Cheers

Hi Markus,

Are these interiors something that you would be looking to make and sell to members of the forum if we were interested?

Cheers....

Mike

Hi Mike,

If you don't have a printer and don't know anybody else to ask to do the job, I can also print these parts in limited numbers. The prices are 6.-- EUR each plus postage. Postage is 3.70 EUR for nearly all countries. Please write me an email if you are interested. But please allow me some weeks for delivery.

Regards

Markus

What is the weight of 4080 insert with cutout? I have access to printer that charges by weight.

Hi,

PLA is the kind of plastic I use for the prints. In another material it could be slightly heavier.

Hi,

I added interiors for the DEUTSCHE WEINSTRASSE wagons. They fit for the MÄRKLIN 4079 (which should be repainted) and for the ROCO - cars. More about the prototype: https://www.drehscheibe-...foren/read.php?31,380874
