I like to run mine with a train of rebuilt 6 wheelers, or alternatively "Thunderboxes".

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Any 2 axle passenger cars would work as they saw a lot of work on branch lines. I would not be surprised that a high priority freight car was added occasionally.

Are 6 wheelers rebuild prone to jump tracks especially at turnouts?

I've never seen this happen on my layout.

Only at the first turnout - and only if you didn't put them on the track properly.
When you put them on the track manually then it happens quite often that the wheels of the middle axle are not properly on the rails. You'll see that on the first turnout.

Once properly on the track they work fine.

I usually put them on the track on a section of the layout that has an uncoupling track on it. Running the coach back and forth over the uncoupler will tell you if all the wheels are on properly!

I use turnouts for the test. Sometimes you'll hear a click and then the wheels are properly on the track.
