I am trying to find the Marklin 36430, Class BR 232 Diesel locomotive. The dealers I have checked out do not have it in stock and I'm being told it's no longer available. Yet Marklin carries it in their inventory according to the site.
Does anyone know where or if this model is available? Any German sites come with a significant shipping charge that make it less attractive proposition.
Help is appreciated,
George

Hi George,

Seems to be a few available on ebay, any reason for ruling those out? price, freight, reluctance against ebay?

Cheers

Welcome to this wonderful Swedish forum.
Do you happen to be in the USA?

We should know where you live so we can keep postage costs in mind when referring dealers for you.
Regards
Tom

I'm with Tom on this. We need a minimum of information from members so that we can better answer questions.

It doesn't apply in this case but it does happen very often where new members do not even give their name. "XYZ1234" does not inspire the same feeling of friendship as "George" Smile

Having investigated the helpful reference to Conrad, I find they seem to have the 36430 loco, however, it seems they no longer ship to the US nor Canada. As a second issue, by the time shipping &'insurance is added to the price as posted in Euro, the item becomes cost prohibitive, at least from this vendor.
The search goes on, thanks everyone for chiming in.

Hello,

You can try out the PIKO model which is freshly new.

It's made also in AC of course.
Ep. III (My layout is set in 1962).
I collect mainly DSB, DB and SBB but I'm quite... Open minded.
I'm quite a big collector of NOHAB lok :)

George.if you can't find any suitable dealer for your Ludmilla, Roco has produced quite a few of them, although the housing is plastic , the whole loco is very heavy., I've got 3 of them and very happy with them
