I have seen this before, I thought it was a sticky, I have printed it out, I have tried to search, but now I need it again naturally I cant find it and I definitely cant remember.

How do I set up a 6021 to have more than Four (five) functions using a follow on address?

Thanks for the quick response but no!

Assume I have only a 6021 and no CS2

If we have a lok at address 56 we can get aux function plus function f1 -f4

Now there is a simple way of linking address 57 so we can get the next 4 functions of lok 56.

Its so simple but I cant remember it!

Yes as far as i remember you have to program CV 75 with the desired address, in your case 57

Hope i am right

On the CU 6021 you can use the L and F keys to have speed knob and function/off control one address (e.g. 56) and have f1 through f4 control another address (e.g. 57).

See this post and scroll down to "Tip for Control Unit 6021":

Thank you all for nudging me in the right direction

What I finally found was a paragraph from a post in 2011 from the other side of the world from the forums font of all knowledge :

QUOTE

To answer your question:

To program Locos with 6021

1) reset - stop + go
2) dial up number 80
3) stop
4) reverse + go - lights should flash
5) select parameter (e.g. 01 for address) - select reverse
6) dial value (lights should start flashing real fast) - select reverse
7) stop
8) go
9) test new setting

Common CV Settings

01 Address - value 01 - 80
03 Acceleration/Braking Delay - value 01 - 31
05 Max Speed - value 01 - 63
08 Reset - value 08
75 2nd loco address for decoders that support this feature

END QUOTE

Which is what I needed I couldn't remember the stop go lights flashing turn around and jump in the air things

The mission is now acomplished
