I have no clue as to what they might offer, but I will look forward to seeing that "stunning" loco.

But I would never consider ordering the 2018 Insider model while still waiting to get my Insider #1 from 2017. Even a loco with windows that don't fit would be better than nothing at all! Confused
Regards,
Jim

I have almost all Märklin and mostly HO, although I do have a small number of Z gauge trains!
So many trains and so little time.

Maybe an E44 retooling...
Ep. III (My layout is set in 1962).
I collect mainly DSB, DB and SBB but I'm quite... Open minded.
I'm quite a big collector of NOHAB lok :)

There is so many locomotives to choice like Insider model.
E 16/116
E 60
E 75

Some Wurttemberg steam locomotive
I think it´s time to present new old era steam locomotive with the sounds/functions with the new mSD3.

I suppose the Insider model is always new die-cast tooling, or updated tooling.
That must be very expensive for Marklin.
Because there are so many models which they produce already, that can be redecorated for different eras and paint schemes.

One example is the E17/117 which has not been done yet in eraII colours.
Could there be something special for a model that is redecorated?
Perhaps different sounds or detail?
Or in the case of the E17, an accompanying set of 1930s CIWL coaches?

HO Scale - Märklin (ep II-III and VI, C Track, digital) - 2 rail HO (Queensland Australia, UK, USA) - 3 rail OO (English Hornby Dublo) - old clockwork O gauge - Live Steam 90mm (3.1/2 inch) gauge.

I'd love a new BR44 with coreless motor, not sure for insider though.

I was just thinking that a BR65 or BR66 would be a great idea.

That is a great idea! Apart from the Br64 we have no standard design passenger tank locos from Marklin. There are plenty in the Br7x range of pre-DRG designs, such as the Br73, 74, 75, and 78. We need more Br6x classes!

PS:

I just remembered we have the Br61 from the Henschel-Wegmann train but that's such a specialised loco I don't count it...

I agree with Ray , but I already have a nice Fleischmann BR 65, working perfectly on my layout.

I still wait for a BR 62, which was a very nice 232 tank engine, of which only Liliput have done a DC model.

It would be a wonderful addition to the BR 6x series !

And it is a bit of a hack of a model - couldn't they arrange things inside to get see-through cab windows ??? I am sure they could have if they really tried.Angry

According to model wiki, there are only two Fleischmann BR65 for AC, one was #931065 made in 2006 with MM no sound and in epoch IV livery or the older analogue #1165, so still a large market for the model I think (ignoring the fact a lot of Marklin users won't touch other brands anyways)

The problem with this prototype is that it’s almost era 3 only. So not much chance of having it. Marklin likes to reuse the molds!

That makes it ideal for a special release such as Insider then though:)

And yet despite the many versions they have released so far of their recent BR24 and BR74 moulds, there is still none in epoch 3a liveryCursing
