Lima DC South African models?

Joined: 10/08/2009(UTC) Posts: 3,443		What would be the best source of obtaining Lima DC South African H0 models please? Electric loco's and/or trainsets in particular. I have seen them around on internet but they cannot be found in shops in The Netherlands. I know that the old Lima cannot be compared with Marklin quality but i just want to play with a simple train and keep my Marklin collection in the displaycases. South Africa has stolen a piece of my heart during a holiday in January last. I take it that the Lima track is suitable for other DC makes also,including Trix? Alternatively,that Lima trains can run on Trix C track? Is there something like Ebay in South Africa? Thanks in advance/Baie Dankie! Paul.

Somewhere amongst my kit I have a pair of Lima Blue Train electric locos, well really one loco and one dummy. I have no idea how well they run - or even if they run. They have been in storage for some 25 years. I will try and dig them out and see what condition they are in. They are of no interest to me, so we can probably come to some arrangement over them.
