Hi to all
I have never seen the 2004 catalog
There are the 2003/2004 and then 2005 but no the 2004/2005
Does this catalog exist or hasn't never issued?
Thanks
Costas

Costas Hi Costas, As far as I know it has never issued due to a fantasy of Far East Cheers, mehmet |

2005 was when Marklin moved away from calling the catalog a 'Catalog', rather they called them 'Yearbooks'. That year was the only time in recent history that they dated the book by a single year - the following year's book was the 2006/2007 Yearbook.
Since 2013/2014 the book has been referred to as the 'Full Line Catalog'.

Thank you all very much for your replies.
So I haven't to look for this year
I have all the other years from 1930-1935 on either as soft or hard copy...
Regards
Costas

The 'Presentation Books' carried on until 2008/2009, from 2009/2010 there were 3 separate catalogs for H0, 1 and Z gauges.
And then as I said, since 2013/2014 the book has been referred to as the 'Full Line Catalog'.

The only "catalogue" that makes sense these days is the "New Items" at the beginning of the year. By the time the "Full Line Catalogue" emerges at the end of the year most of the items are no longer available.
I still buy these books every year as a souvenir, but in my opinion a catalogue is a list of the products made by the company and available for sale, and this is no longer fulfilled by this book. |

Hello Märklineers, Now here is something interesting for the cattledog collectors (for which I seem to have periodic relapses); I have collected fairly well all the English language catalogues since my birth year to date : Paradoxically, this recent forum discussion drew to my attention that I lack the 2007/2008 catalogue ! (a short blank period in my Märklin life) The Märklin catalogues in English language seemed to be calendar year format in the two years 2005 and 2006 (see post #4 above). Thereafter it would seem that they resumed the "financial year format" as shown in this 2007/2008 Italian copy (not English but I believe the English one was the same coverage) : However, it seems to have been peculiarly language-dependent : see here a French language one that continues in the one year theme for 2007: Or was this just another way of announcing new items for 2007 (but "nouveaux" is not seen) ?? Regards, PJ
