I am going to have to track down the Samskip and Geest cars to complete the consist with my Samskip cars from 2015 (47051.001). I thick that the RMI car was also common on Swiss rails.

Does anybody have a photo of the RMI car. So far, the only photos/images consisted of superimposed container images on the Maerklin Sgnss car.
I now see a few on Google which show a blue container car instead of the earlier grey one.

Thanks. That is the same one that I had just seen and exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to determine if the containers were held to the car the same way as the 47051.003 VandenBosch model, which used red versions of the Herpa 084192 adapter or whether the containers for the new model had little feet that would fit into the mounting holes on the car surface? From the photos, there does not appear to be an adapter of any kind, suggesting that the container models have the necessary feet for use with this model.

I received my Dutch container cars. I have to thank Mr Jonkman at TreintjeOost for taking care of me again. I think that my Rotterdam-Varzo KLV is now complete.

I wanted to ask whether anybody else had some minor problems with their models. I found that the container on one model was missing one of the four little feet and that all of the 45foot containers did not perfectly line up with the holes on the car surface. I have not set the cars up on the layout, but I am concerned that if the containers pegs are not sitting in the sockets, there is a risk of the container falling from the car in curves and on switch tracks. The containers on the earlier "Samskip" (47051.001) and "Ferrymasters" (47051.002) did not have this problem.

The blue painted Sgnns cars are registered to Railrelease BV. The earlier grey cars were registered to Railion NL, a division of DB Cargo/Stinnes.

I have not found a way to use these cars with containers that have sockets instead of pins. The Herpa 084192 adapters work great for 20ft containers and tank containers, but Herpa does not make adapters for 40ft containers. I did note that a pair of the 084192 adapters can be used to seat a Fleischmann container (see 97 5808) on one of the Maerklin cars. The design of the Fleischmann container has sockets underneath that correspond to 20ft container socket locations, as the Fleischmann cars have pins for the shorter containers that must also work with the longer ones.

I was thinking about having some little metal adapters milled that could be inserted into the sockets on the underside of containers that would transform them into pins for mounting on the Maerklin cars.

Regards
