I'm new to this hobby and recently purchased a beautiful, new TRIX BR V 160 from a vendor in GE. It ran well for about two weeks and then went dead. I opened it and found the wire loose that attaches to the front truck connector. I carefully soldered it back to the connector and the locomotive operates well but the top front LED headlight is now out.

Any advice on the best way to get it repaired? (It's still under warranty.)

Hello Michael.

I think it will be good to make a call to the guys at AJC Kids in TX.

AJCKids

They could assist you eventually for needed parts or services, even under warranty.

Cheers,

Walter

Are three lights on when you run the loco without body?
If so, then maybe just the light channel (transparent plastic) fell out.
Otherwise check the LED and its connections.

Walter,
Thanks. I gave AJC Kids a call and they responded that I probably needed to go back through the German vendor. They are checking though and will get back to me.

Thanks but no, the top front light remains out with the body removed (the bottom two front lights are working). The top LED is embedded in the DCC decoder card so I can't check the connections.
