Hi all,

I'm looking for a CIWL coach set similar to those in the 26922 Orient Express set, but in that nice blue color like the 42795 set. I have seen the LS Models branded coaches from Reynauld's but it seems they are sold by the coach, rather than in a set. If I were to go with the LS Models coaches, how would I know which coaches to purchase to complete an accurate consist? Does anyone have experience with that brand and are there other brands out there that produce CIWL sets? Do LS Models coaches have interior lighting? Seems like everyone is sold out of the 42795 set.

Thanks,
David

I have 11 CIWL coach from LS Models, Heris and ACME so I'm pretty much the person you need J

Which consist are you looking to reproduce and in which year are you setting it?
Ep. III (My layout is set in 1962).
I collect mainly DSB, DB and SBB but I'm quite... Open minded.
I'm quite a big collector of NOHAB lok :)

Hi Leitner,

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I should have done some research before posting my question because I have honestly no idea what is out there in terms of consists. I intend to pull the coaches with a Marklin 18.3 from Era II, if that helps any.

Could you tell me a little about the positives and negatives of each brand you own? Do they have interior lighting? Photos would be most welcome!

Thanks again for your help and in the meantime I will do some research on the CIWL coaches.

Respectfully,
David

LS Models has launched a new line called ModelsWorld, which they are using to market models of specific trains, i.e. entire consists. At some point, they may release a CIWL Set that might be of interest to you. In the meantime, you can still find a copy of the LSM CIWL catalogue, maybe from Reynaulds, or from either TEE USA or Eurotrainhobby in NJ.

The LSM models can be illuminated. I believe that the company markets it's own LED lighting system.

You should also check the products released under the Hobbytrain and Lemke brands in Germany. These are also made by LSM, but are distributed by those companies.

There is a German language Wagonslit Forum: http://www.wagonslits.de/phpbb2/index.php

I also found this topic about foreign coaches in Italy in Era I and II: http://www.forum-duegied...pic.php?f=21&t=22319
