Hello Marklin Users,
I live in India serious Marklin Enthusiasts, bought Marklin # 37622 FMD A+B Santa Fe from Singapore in 2001, was working fine with all sound effects and lights - after 2 or 3 standard oval 12 curves 8 staright C stracks rounds suddenly stops, with lights on and moves with few jerks and suddenly moves again stops then jerks- kindly help me out ? I am controlling with CS 2 earlier also worked with 6021 with same problems .

Sounds like you need to give the motor axle endpoints a drop of oil...

The 5-pole motor tends to be jerky and also make kind of "screechy pig" sounds when the axle ends are dry.
You will have to dismantle the body to do this, but if you have the leaflet that came with the loco the instructions about dismantling the body & also the oiling points should be clear.

A drop of oil in the wheel gears would probably not hurt either...

If any of our members has the 37622 leaflet pages scanned, please help Ramprasad...

No 37622 (EMD F7A-B), but 37618 (EMD F7A-B-A) instructions with identical oiling /greasing points information on pages 25 & 26.

Hello Members,
I just did as per your advice, I first cleaned lots of carbon dust deposits inside the Motor assembly and applied 2 drops of Marklin Oil at the Motor ends and it started running smoothly without any stops and jerks!
