I've inherited 3x marklin 1930s electric racing cars, all of which are in very good condition, no rust, no damage etc and i'm looking to sell them but I've absolutely no idea what they are worth or what would be the best place to sell them. I don't know if it would be better to sell them as a set of 3 or individually. Any information can point me in the right direction would be greatfully received.

Do you have pictures of them?

Thanks, I'll do that....although will take a little while as the cars are currently in safe storage.

A bit of background info..... the 3 cars were used in a trade exibition in the 30's, 2 are in basic red racing livery and the 3rd is in livery of an oil company (can't remember which one as has been may years since I've seen them although Shell comes to mind) the theory being the one in the oil company livery won each race between the 3. Probably just had the voltage turned up a little higher :)

One annoying fact is we used to have all the track also but seems to have been lost or binned at some point in the past.

Sounds like they might be the 13301 cars from the 30s. Here's a white one that sold recently in Germany:

Ok, taken some quick pictures of them, the oil company is "Sprol" can't say I'd ever heard of that company before but am guessing they're unique. Any advice greatfully received.

Nice cars!

Here's a scan of the 1937 catalog page showing the whole range:

Why not KEEP them? BigGrin

There seems to be a lot of history surrounding these cars.

Even better, try to find track for them and PLAY. ThumpUp

I LOVE the slope! Flapper
