Trying to source plastic wheel sets for the standard size wagons and coaches (don't ask why its complicated lol) Tried dealers without success and still waiting on a reply from Marklin. Any help appreciated. |

Any help appreciated. The only plastic wheel sets I know Marklin have done have been for Z gauge. If you want them for running you quickly swap them out for metal wheel sets. If you want insulated wheels for 2-rail running, then look at the wheel set equivalents marklin give in the catalogs for all the wagons.

As I understand, the Italeri wagon kits come with plastic wheel sets. Maybe these are available as spare parts? See http://shop.italeri.com/...-with-brakemans-cab.aspx Ray, you are building these kits - can you verify my assumption regarding the wheel material? |

Or the "obvious" solution... Or search ebay for Jouef plastic wheelsets... Hornby owns Jouef nowadays, I think... This UK seller has more than 10 sets (x10) available http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...hes-wagons-/152254588998Edit - I just ordered one 10-pack for myself, to see if they are compatible with standard M wheels with the same axle end type... |

I swapped them for some Lilliput wagon wheels I had spare. |

Got the Jouef spare part wheels today. They are of a larger diameter, both the wheels and the axle. This is compared to a "standard" Märklin wheel from the 4423 basic flat wagon. They could be used for a static display of a wagon, though. For running, no way... |
