Remember to take plenty of Cash with you as not many dealers accept Credit cards . There is a ATM outside in the foyer but it will empty pretty quickly with the number of people attending . Head for the stall section first which is usually the furtherest from the main doors , just follow the crowds some running to get in first to get those special items .

Enjoy your self & don't go home broke .

Cheers Tom in Oz .

We tend to either be on our group or in little clusters haggling with the sellers. On the Friday we do the market stalls, Saturday we have a day off, and Sunday we do the exhibits and market stalls.

Usually between the two halls there is a refreshment venue, we could say any interested Marklin Forum members who want to say hello meet outside this venue each day at say 2pm. I will post a better description on the Friday once I see that we are in the same venue and I can see the name of the restaurant.

Two years a go we met Dan the Marklin man and others there.

It's nice to see so many of you from abroad to visit Eurospoor.
Note that the Dutch Railway museum (Spoorweg museum) is in the same city and worth a visit for the ones who have time to spare besides visiting Eurospoor it self

Enjoy your stay :-)

All,

For those visiting today; have a great one!
For anyone who will be there in Sunday and is interested in meeting; shall we set a meeting time and place? For example at the restaurant / coffee place in the corridor connecting the two main halls at 13:00?

Cheers,
Sander

Do you want the tale where I kinda broke federal law?

I am presently compiling everything, but it was a great trip, and great to meet those that I did - looking forward to next year already, but here is a picture of my humble purchases. Fortunately I didn't spend everything, BUT I also only got one thing that I was actually looking for and was on my list.....

I did get a fantastic deal on the two Delta lot's and bought conversion kits.. that's gonna be my winter project

After attending at least 6 train shows in BC, Ontario and Washington over the last 2 years I haven't even seen this much European equipment for sale, let alone be fortunate enough to get an item that I wanted. Must get to a show in Europe one day with an extra bag!

Check Youtube and search for Eurospoor 2016,plenty of stuff there.
Also check Google and search for Eurospoor 2017,dates are known already, you can opt for the English language in case Dutch is one step too far for you.
I hope to save some money for a visit there in November next year,it is going to be tough.

In the UK I quite often attend local model railway shows especially if there is a hint of continental presence. The trade tables are always full of all the usual suspects Hornby, Bachman etc. I will hopefully but forlornly enquire - Any Marklin? - usually to be met with a blank look or a solitary Hamo wreck for great big money. I thought about going to Eurospoor but the FD, the bank balance and the Euro rate strongly advised against it. Looking at the photos that may have been the right decision - however if only .....................

Everytime i go to Eurospoor at Utrecht i run out of budget.
I make sure the petroltank of the car is full and that i have some cash money for parking and a sandwich (Dutch=Broodje).
All the rest will be gone before i walk out of there.

Please be warned!

Early November 2017 we can try again, right?

Sorry I missed you guys at Eurospoor. Market and exhibition layout were as good as always. Bought some nice pieces that I was looking for, Riviera Express to go with my Class 10 and SJ ore wagons for my Swedish double loco. Bought some restoration projects as well, 2 Ludmilla DR & DB. Tempted to buy more but I had to keep a firm grip on my wallet so that I could get home. Already thinking of next year.

Thanks glad you like it, especially the music, I agree there is a hint of Kraftwerk in there, took me about an hour to find something that would fit the theme of the video.
