Joined: 20/01/2014(UTC) Posts: 12		Hello! I've received my new 3041! But I'm a bit confuse about the box... I'd never seen before that loco with this box. I always had seen with the blue with a "window" in the middle. Could you tell me if it's correct? and What version is it? Thank you!

Joined: 10/08/2009(UTC) Posts: 3,443		I think it is a 3043,the number shows on the box under the 3041 sticker. Nothing wrong with the box,they made them like this in the past. Check the enginenumber on the side of the loco and we can tell in which year it was made. Nice loco!

Joined: 14/01/2006(UTC) Posts: 1,802 Location: Wurttemberg		Hi, In 1967 and 1968 Märklin tried new layouts for their boxes. The one was the 3043 from 1968 (also used for 3041 in 1973 (like above)), the other "unusual" box in the same style was used for 3073 from 1967. Regards Markus

Production started in 1973 Here is a copy of the page of the 1973 Marklin Catalog The Box was common at this time, as well as the sticker on the box.
