Hello there,
A true newbie question about the Marklin 2258 crossing: Does anyone could tell me if this part of the 2258 crossing is made in plastic or in steel ? I run very short locos and I don't want to see them stalling in the middle of the crossing.
All your replies are welcome.

Hello Chris and welcome to the group.

The black rails inside the circle are made of plastic, although the two wide studs in the middle are (naturally) made of metal. However, your locos will have to be incredibly short to lose contact with both of the metal outer rails at the same time, so I would not have any concerns.

Enjoy your modelling!

Hello Robert,
Many thanks for your welcome and, of course, for your helpful reply.
