Hi

Those in the UK may remember this as a large layout down on the Isle of Wight. About 4 years ago the then owner sold up to a new crew. Well, last week I went to see it and they have revamped the layout totally after taking it apart and cleaning it thoroughly. It runs on M track throughout and is digitally controlled.

The only thing is now they have made it smaller to accommodate English outline running that terrible creature called Th***s.

Bumping this very old thread, the website http://www.fortvictoriamodelrailway.co.uk/index.html shows the following message -

"The model railway and Shop owing to current owners ill health is on the market. For all enquiries to Scotcher & Co please phone 01983 822288. The Railway and Shop is open as normal"

Anybody fancy running a Märklin layout for a living!! (The Isle of Wight is a very nice place to live, by the way!)

The website continues to function normally and the video referred to by Mike previously can be seen at http://www.fortvictoriamodelrailway.co.uk/video.html.

/* The home page works - just remove the index.html */

Hi all

I can chip in a tanner, if that will helpLOL LOL

(for those from outside the UK or not old enough - a tanner was 6 pence under the old pre decimalisation currency).

I just know about tuppence by name.. and every time I go looking up the pre-decimalisation forms, I get a headache trying to wrap my head around it. But then living in America its a standing headache as I have to figure out cups form fluid ounces from gallons, all for volume when the damn thing should have been categorized by weight.

Does the Isle of Wight allow me to bring all of my American firearms?
And will they let me stay when I show up with my German passport now but they finish brexit in a few years?
Toys of tin and wood rule!
