Spotted this whilst looking for something else;

http://www.alresford-toy-trains.org.uk/

A good old fashioned "village hall" type train show with varied table top layouts and quite a few sales tables. Might pop out tomorrow and have a look unless SWMBO has other plans.

Hi

That looks to be a show the MCUK team should be in on.

Maybe we can try for next year with either our modules or with my M track layout.

What do you reckon chaps?

I don't know if I was being a little mischievous here. The difference between a model railway exhibition and a toy train show is more than semantics. Over the years I have been to the best and worst model railway exhibitions in the UK - York, Bristol, Eurotrack and that dreadful sweaty affair at Warley, NEC. But this looks like a good old fashioned toy train show with a complete mixture of exhibits and exhibitors and a lively swap meet - pay double the entry to arrive an hour before official opening!. At present I seem to have approval to go from management. And of course the village is the end of the line for the Watercress Line preserved railway.
I guess some of the MCUK crew are cringing at the very thought of such a mundane gathering.
