Hi
Does anyone know what or where the piece of packaging is from. I'm pretty sure it's Marklin and it looks very familiar perhaps from the 7051 gantry crane. It's obviously a wedge of some sort to lock the item in a box. Any help would be good.

Hi Tiki,

I'm not sure, but I think it's for the front side of the 3026 (Br01 ) cardboard-packaging. It is inserted upright after the loco is put in the box and fixes the loco in the box.

Regards

Markus

Hi
The two pieces are stapled together so it is not the locking wedge for locos. Staples are factory installed It is a stand alone piece and does not look like it has been ripped off another piece of cardboard.

I think is the insert used in some blue box 1960's sets with the 3003, goes in between the loco and tender.

I think your right. It did come with a small collection which included a set 3103. I will have a look tomorrow and try some orientations.
Many thanks

I thought the same. I have a Roco car with similar shaped pieces of plastic that were fitted over the buffers.

Here is the final solution where the bits go. I actually had 3 pieces of cardboard in total. The 2 flat bits go under the loco and tender then the mystery bit fits over the driver cab between the loco and tender. Thanks for the help.
