The coaches have power conducting couplers and are prepared for interior lights.
I assume the cables are used when you add Märklin interior lights to the coaches.

Hi,

I have this 41929 Rheingold set. Those items are some electronics used to install a function decoder in one of the coaches to control the interior lightning. Decoder baseboard if I remember correctly. Decoder itself must be bought separately.

From factory these coaches have current conducting couplers and interior lights are continuously on when track power is on. I have my set still without any function decoder installed.

This 41929 set is beautiful and I highly recommend you to buy one! ThumpUp

Cheers,
Janne

No. Product description reads "The 73400/73401 interior lighting kit (2 per car) can be installed in the cars."
The coaches have table lamps and they are prepared for interior lights.

There is a PCB for the decoder in the box, but that PCB has no attached wires.

Tom

Hi Tom,

You are right. My set has stayed in vitrine for too long time since I forgot that it had table lamps continuously on. No interior lightning installed from the factory.

I apologize for my mistake Blushing .

Janne
