Hello everyone. This is my first post.

I bought 3 Marklin Engines this week. They were in an estate sale of a Marklin Collector. I wanted one but I had to buy all three as a package deal. I was told that all of the engines that were for sale were NIB.

My problem is one box is marked 3045 but the engine inside does not look like any Marlin 3045 I see on the internet. When I pointed out the difference to the seller of the Estate they told me Items were removed from boxes by the attorney and maybe he mixed up the engines and boxes. A good friend of mine thinks it maybe a Marklin 2-10-0 engine. What do you think? What do you think the value is on these engines?

These are the first Marklin trains that I have owned.

Your input will greatly be appreciated!

The cat number 3047 is black BR44 Steam as your pic show in wrong 3045 box. But again the tender coal is incorrect (The tender is from 3005 BR23).
The 3045 is very rare item with all Loco/wheels are black with red/white round on chimney.

Thank You Steven!

I am planning to sell the 3047 and one 3056. I imagine the 3045 Box with it's original documentation would be of interest to someone with a 3045 and no box.
