Did found out that Rocos new glaskasten with the sounds cost €239,00 while Märklins without the sounds cost €230,00. Nine euro difference!!! But Rocos model arrives only in DCC. |

Maybe the Roco version is made for blind 2-railers with DCC-controllers. I don't think there are many of those on this forum. Per. |

It'll come one day, I'm sure. Locos that were considered too small for sound a few years ago now have sound available as a matter of course.
This assumes that sound is wanted, whether by deaf people or the rest of society. |

I purchased a Glaskasten 36863 late last year. It is a nice little loco but it sounds like a coffee grinder when it is running. How so much motor noise can come from such a small loco is beyond me. Also, I don't know why Marklin even bothered with lights. They are ridiculously dim.
