Hi, When in Denmark recently to see my daughter, I purchased a Marklin wine wagon, that came with 2 wine glasses, and two coasters. Set #46763, very nice. Anyway it was not practical to ship home that way, so I repackaged it to a quarter size, using the original Marklin box. I gave the glasses to my daughter. Here is the original box. regards Kimball |

Looks like a trip to Conrad's in Frankfurt when we first arrive to pick up our Motorhome hire in September . Conrad's have some interesting RR related items then there is the tool section & also radio & TV stuff which we do not have access to down under . There used to be a few good stores around but now there is only Jaycar & they don't have any decent RR stuff apart from some basic sound & signal kits .

Hi Tom, This was issued way back in 2004 - I got it from a Marklin dealer who must have got it second-hand. I believe Conrads have a reasonable Marklin range - plus special issues like the one I got.

I have been to Conrad's a few times & always end up with a few must have's & not always rail related . There is also a branch in the UK but we have never been to the mother land in our dozen or so trips to Europe .
Cheers , Tom in Oz.

I am not sure there is an actual physical branch in the UK, I always thought it was just a web presence with an English web site. If there is an actual branch I would be interested in finding out where it is.

Three years ago I was buying something off ebay from Lackylok/Joe's madellbahnladel or what ever and he had lots of those M46763 for a price IIRC not much more than a rare wine wagen was worth. So I ordered one Here's one for sale by the lately (from the Warwick & Warwick thread) notorious antiquetoys1 on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/...&hash=item1e9712a06c |

Hi Glen, I paid about AUD$70 for it, which I guess if you add post, is about the same.
Regarding antiquetoys1, he provides a very useful service in my opinion. Like Hans-Willi Walter in Germany.
Always there when you need them. :-)

I use boxes from this company for anything which comes to me minus packaging: http://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/I think the ones I have are the 1.5l boxes, which are big enough for a pair of 1:100 length coaches side by side (with a layer of bubble wrap to protect them from the sides and each other). Also used some brown packing paper to turn one into a box for my restored F800, I crumpled the paper and then squashed it into roughly the right shape to hold the loco and tender. It works, although I'd probably add a layer of bubble wrap on top if I was transporting it further than from the cupboard to the test track. |

Hi all, Thanks Dangermouse for the links to the online storage place, very handy. I actually go to some trouble to make some of my boxes, as illustrated below. Sort of a hobby within a hobby. It is a collection of old Fleischmann rolling stock, made into a track maintenance set. I intend to do similar boxes for the 346 series Marklin Orient Express coaches. I even have covers for the boxes. regards Kimball |
