Updating my last post, I’ve decided not to sell my set of old sturdy Relex-coupled 4601, -02 & -04 coal gondolas. I even found a few more to add, and the consist’s become one of my favorites. Photos attached. My new request is for a consist with white or light-colored Grain Silo Cars, similar to Marklin’s #46323, #46321, or similar sets. A mixed consist is fine, and even better if they’ve been weathered a bit. As before, the photos might appear stretched because of their cropping. Collected gradually over the years. Along with these, I’d had a very nice 10-car #46030 set that was excellent to display, but just too delicate to use on track. My decision last month was which set to keep . . . . . the 46030 set went to eBay, the 460x’s will stay. Now just waiting with bated-breath to see a few Grain Silo Cars. Regards -- Richard

They are era IV SNCF wagons made by Makette in HO. I do own one of these, but no photo I can show on the internet. And another Jouef car from Cherbourg Maquettes, from whom I buy a couple of models. And the real thing. These cars are ubiquitous in Canada, there are currently over 17,000 of them, built for the Government to facilitate Canada's grain harvest and shipment. That is a sanding tower perhaps, what a beauty. Coaling towers were often similar, only much larger. regards Kimball

The diesel-electric engine was one of the Deltics, so named because they operated three banks of engines. A river-side view showing the operating house spanning the tracks. regards KImball

The Prussian G3 is a fully valid entry for the question (BR 53), even if it's not by Borsig (optional), nor is it in DRG livery in the photo. What I was really looking for as the trickiest full option answer was the Saxonian V (or V V) by Borsig, haven't seen a pic of that.... Here's another DRG BR 53, The Wuerttemberg Fc. Now over to you, Ray.

Many locomotives were made for export over the last two centuries. To be loaded or unloaded, they have to be in the air for at least 10 minutes. Here is one example, from Ireland.
