Hi is there a download available for track planning. I have been using a stencil for years. But K track is a little more flexible than C track. And i wish to build an extension in C track. This will insure that the parts will fit when using software. cheers

Hi, I bought the Märklin 60521 software back in 2004. It was the first version. I understand now

that there are more upgraded versions in Wintrak. It was a wonderful help to me. I designed

about 5 or 6 layouts before settling on the layout I now have. It gives all track types as my layout

is both C and M track. It was particularly helpful for building up elevations, etc.

Happy Planning! PeterCool

If you're looking for free software, SCARM and Raily are your best bets.

If you're a Mac user there is only one that I know of - RailModeller.

I can recommand the free software XTrkCAD for Maerklin track planning. I just updated the M-track parameter files in the corresonding XTrkCAD yahoo group files collection. Editing and designing sectional tracks is easily feasible. Ready to use parameter files for M-, K-, and C-tracks are already included in the software download.
Cheers Jo

I can certainly recommend SCARM. It has all the M, K, and C track libraries and it is easy to design a layout combining all 3 track types if you need to. The 3 D rendering is also a nice feature. Best of all it is free!

Just downloaded SCARM seems to be very usable with all the libraries you will ever need 2rail or 3 rail including HOe. I will be having a good play with this over the next few days while we wait to move into our new house with a 7.5 x 9.5 m room just waiting for a new layout.
