Yesterday I received the 4415.563 as a gift from my MMR dealer.
Very happy!
Or maybe I spend too much money there?
Best regards Svein, Norway

Solved in part
From Stummi forun:
SIFA.
It seems like Roco system? can anybody translate it
Thanks

Together with the CS2 software version 2.5. can locos with this decoder (3 difficulty levels) are driven alongside the standard operation mode in the cab. Looks very interesting. Here is the cab of the locomotive in the display of the CS2 is there and ready to operate as SIFA incl.

Hi,
got hold of the 3'rd wagon in the series, 4415.565:
The German side reads "Faszination."
The English side has the text "Fascination."

Robert from RFJ trains.com just sent his latest newsletter after visiting the toyfair.
Some very good info on the new Mfx+ and software.
I applaud Marklin for developing this new cab system and sure it will attract new younger model rail roaders.
And hopefully in the furture we will get loco's with small video cameras so we get a live feed.

Makes a nice Xmas present for children (CS2 plus mfx+ loco, RRP €800 + €300 (without power supply)).

I presume a CS2 won't be able to handle live feeds. This may work on smartphones though.
Märklin's last H0 camera train had a RRP of €1000.
That'll attract younger rail roaders - mainly golden agers that are young at heart. Not real teenagers that were born with a plastic spoon in their mouth.

Good point Tom!
However new technology is always expensive in the beginning… You can now buy handy-cams that take video footage in HD quality for 300-400 US. Imagine 10 years ago – you had to drag around a huge monster on your shoulder and change cassettes…
But for Daddy/Mummy that already has a layout his teenage son or daughter that is hooked in front of the PC playing computer games, might be interested in playing with real toys with a Mfx+ loco on the track
And what a great way to play with your kids in the hobby you enjoy
As an adult model rail roaders I sense many was hoping for other news from Marklin, but I think Marklin is on the right track with My world range and now the mfx+ computer play.
Personally I am still waiting for some new Goliath cranes I can afford

I was not really suprise what Marklin did talking about technology.
It´s more for grownup people with those toys from Marklin.
However...still not suprised!

May I quote my young fellow countryman from Joe's thread: "The next generation Marklinists?";https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/yaf_postst25509_The-next-generation-Marklinists.aspx
"I remember being told by others at school that "having a train set" was a hobby for "old men" or "little kids". Infact I was given a joke book and even there we don't escape ridicule. It read:
"Q. What do model trains and breasts have in common?
A. They're designed for children but usually men end up playing with them"
pardon me
The Roco Z21 system allready has live camera feeds from a camera equiped Lok displayed in the windscreen of their live cab display see;
from about 4.10
Obviously too hard to do on the CS2 screen but as a new main Station App, I don't see why not and in fact for discering youngsters it could make the difference, and Marklin must implement it, how often do we see threads, and ruggedly made videos about/with cameras on trains on this forum. There is so obviously a demand for it at a reasonable price ! Then watch the values of those old camera wagons crash
The Camera just needs to feed over WiFi, easy ! See Roco Camera Lok, and Sony Action Cam
And if above I bring sxx to the thread, well look at Roco's brochure, and then see them (the nice ladies), but all wearing Lokfuhrer's uniforms, all over Roco's stand at Nuremberg. Smart idea and smart marketing I thought, but of course maybe it's the British influence on the company
(with no disrespect of Marklin's "conservative family values'

The point is: no live video images on CS2, but it works on a smartphone.
Take Z21 and you save €550 RRP. With z21 it's probably even cheaper.
And we don't know if Märklin will bring a camera train and at what price. Märklin mobile vision 26001 has a RRP of €849.95.
Maybe they should add smartphone control to the MS2 track box to bring cab view with live images at competitive prices.
Will this pay back? I don't know.

Tom

Regarding MFX+ I can understand that Ecos owners could feel some frustration...
...It's only games...
About Z1 ,yes, the LOk-camera system exists at the spielwarren fair and was broadcasted on the web....but concretely have you bought the camera equipped Lok in shops or by mail order ?
Announcement doesn't mean availability...
Yes, round about 2008, Marklin already has been making some Lok models with camera and wifi connection through special glasses...
About Marklin : the new
mfx+
decoder with concrete functions is now unique in MRR world and should give fun & realism to our layouts....The system is right now available on the market... And I bet you now that it is only the first step of something more complete that will appear in the future with total compatibility & synergy with the CS2...
With CS2, Markliners always get an advantage : beside their iTabs or Smartphones they have a complete central unit + one more screen at their disposal...On which they don't need to verify wether batteries are charged or not..
.
(
remember some Marklin announcements about
Marklin community
, less than 2 years ago, they just said that it was too soon to talk about it...)
