Hi Ian,

I should be there on the Saturday, at or soon after opening time. A pleasant train journey through Fife and then up the station ramp into the exhibition.

I'd love to come, especially to meet fellow members - but it's a bit far to drive for the day (and £150 on the train!)

Looking forward to the piccies, though :-)

Hi all,

Back from the show, and even managed to buy a couple of bits of Märklin.Smile (the only Märklin there.)

Photo's tomorrow, light wasn't good and the halls were busy, so the photo's might have suffered a bit.

Hi folks
I'm back.
thanks for the messages.
Yes I have had a great time in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France and Monaco. 2900 miles in 2 weeks.

Isn't Switzerland just like a full size model railway with lines above and below you everywhere you look. Fan dabbi dosy.Love Love
We stayed in Luzern and then Lugano. The Lugano hotel was the Continental Park right next to the line with a room looking out over the level crossing - brilliant.Cool

Blushing Blushing sorry to hijack the thread.

I was in Luzern almost 50 years ago. Me and my pals had our first overseas trip there. Was fantastic but I expect it is now totally different. We stayed just outside Luzern beside Mount Pilatus (think that what it was called) There were trolley buses that took us into Luzern. They ran every five minutes and we had a weekly ticket.
Night clubs were great and everybody spoke English (just as well as we were not that great at French or German)
Just looked at my diary and see that I had noted that Nev was due here on 27th July ... I think ther haggis was too much for him.

dave
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.
