I like this format... It is clearer to see what is in/out... We need a red face for when they are out of stock..

We must define the quarter periods.
Q2 for example from that date to that date.

So being new to this website, what exactly does the "in stock" mean? Does it mean that the item is in stock in a in a specific store in Europe, Germany or Ireland?

This would be very valuable to know since "green" on the marklin.de site does not mean much at all especially to people in distant lands such as in the US and outside of Europe. "Green" in marklin.de means a wait of 2-6 months from my experience depending on the dealer and shipping schedules.

Larry! It will only be in stock if your dealer ordered it. It seems that some deslers in USA are only ordering for "sold orders" and not putting stock on their shelves virtual or real.
One major dealer is very slow these days to update stock.

Hi all,

Here is a explanation of what to expect from Marklin and your dealers:
[:p] means it is in stock at Marklin Germany and any Dealer can order the Item ( Or he/she may have it in Stock ).
Smile means it maybe still produced or is about to be produced by Marklin ( neither Marklin nor your Dealer will have this Item yet ).
(RED) means it is sold out at Marklin Germany ( your Dealer may or may not have this Item ).

All of the above can be changed by Marklin anytime for several reasons:
a) A Dealer is unhappy and returns some of his/hers Items back to Marklin ( either U.S. or Worldwide ).
b) A Dealer is unable to pay his/her Invoice and Marklin takes back those Items.
c) Marklin Germany has a request for many Items of a certain Model and reruns this Item again.

As for Dealers having certain Items in Stock please keep in mind that all Dealers have to order most new Items before February and if they miss that deadline may not be able to order certain Items from Marklin
for Customers ( thats why most Dealers have a preorder Sale ).

This being said thats why larger Dealers who order in great Qty from Marklin seem to have the Items still in Stock while a small Dealer has them allready sold out (or not ordered them at all).

Martin

I really like the current month plus next month look ahead.. Very good.. Thanks Stephen...

What is interesting is that 1/4 of the year is nearly gone and they are a long way from delivering 1/4 of the 2007 items... Doesn't the factory close during the summer?

So if it will be in production at the end of this month, then we might have it our hands at the end of April. And that's if we're lucky. For those in Europe it might be sooner than that of course.

Thank you Very Much Steven !! Maybe we can get the webmaster (or one of his helpers) to set up a screen that covers the data that steven has provided, but it just has to be updated from time to time. Steven just has to log in and update the screen data.

It might be easier to work with ??? Or maybe not.

Just a small hint - if you still want to get one of the following items and haven't ordered it yet, you should rather quickly contact your favorite dealer since they are already "factory sold out":

#26218, #26536, #36824, #37361, #37452, #37955 and #39540 (no surprise).

Please recall that all of these items are one time productions series.

I didn't say "out of stock". As simple as this - the dealer order volume has reached the max. production capacity. Remember; these are items which are only produced once (see also your news catalog).

BTW: It was already made clear to dealers at the toy fair that this (and several more items) would not be produced in "excessive" quantity; like it happened quite often in the past (times have changed now). So, the "warning" was given early enough - despite different opinions.

That is from my many years experience in buying Marklin - generally a couple of months to get from Germans to US dealers and then to me.

From my experience the first time an item is seen on ebay you will get it in US about one to two months. That was true of the BR96 CBE # 1 last year.

Both 37115 and 37452 are currently designated "yellow" on maerklin.de

Now how is the BR45 different from the BR50? They both have the 10 main driving wheel arrangement.

Good luck to the buyers of the Bellingrodt series 2.

Hi Larry,
The BR45 has a 2-10-2 wheel arrangement, and the BR50 has a 2-10 wheel arrangement. Also, the BR45 has the Wagner smoke deflectors and the BR50 has the Witte smoke deflectors. This is only from a visual perspective. I do not know other technical details and differences between these two classes. Hope this helps.
Cheers.
