Hi,

I bought the 2-truck Heisler from Slybay, which is the same company.

Thanks Jacques. I got a price for the 3 truck Shay, digital with sound for $499. I am considering it but would love to see it in action first. They do not even post a phone number much less an address so I have no idea where they are located. I sent an email asking but no reply yet.

Hi Paul.

I have converted the 3 truck Shay myself. It is a beautiful and detailed model.
https://www.marklin-user...511&SearchTerms=shay
Because the model has small diameter RP25 wheels, it does not run well over M-track switches without some modifications on the loco's trucks and extended counter rails on the switches. That's why the seller does not recommend M-track.
However, members usually report that K and C track is more RP25 friendly. I have not run the loco on other track types.

I whould make sure to be able to return the loco if it does not run smoothly on my layout especially over switches.

Joe, Thanks! I will give them a call tomorrow. I will see if they have a store front. Since I get to Flordia on business travel to Orlando 5-6 times a year I would like to stop by and see them. I will jump on map quest and see where they are located in relation to Disney World in Orlando.

Thanks again

Paul, straight East (NE actually) up I-4. Believe if you exit at State Road 434 and head west you'll run right into their location. Mapquest would still be the best bet. Joe
