As known, an increasing number of new items is offered by both, Märklin and TRIX, with different road numbers.

Especially with cars, TRIX models offer an excellent opportunity to complement their corresponding Märklin models/trains.

Following you'll find a first list of those (no claim for 100% accuracy or completeness). Also listed are models which are offered on both product lines, but having same road numbers.

M39020: DRG BR18 321 - SDS, mfx, full sound (T22180 same roadnumber)

Ahummm,Lutz...!

Trix dont have SDS motor anymore time,so it will been either 5 polig or clockanker motor from now and on...!

There is some troubleshooting with SDS motor by using DCC digitalsystem...

Lutz,

According to the photo, this set will come with one SBB Apm (like 4368) in the Cisalpino livery, one Eurofima Bz (like 41896) in the same livery and a third coach, described as a Bpm SBB, but the model looks like the (false) 42163 rather than the Bpm EC (4369).
Do you have more information about which coaches the set will come with, especially because the Bpm have been converted to domestic traffic and repainted in the ICN livery? The set should come with repainted EC material, either SBB or FS.

Regards

No. TRIX still offers NEW models with SDS. Just take a look at the catalog or TRIX webpage. wink

PS: My list was NOT intended to start (again) another discussion about the SDS; it should give this forum a better understanding of the product descriptions and the value of combined Märklin/TRIX offerings - especially with the various cars/sets.

But,why is there no more symbol of SDS motor standing in the Trixcatalog...?

Just have had a quick look at the Trix new items again;
BR 120 (T22604) - first glance just like the Marklin version (37539) I thought, but then I look at the description to find that they are totally different toolings:

37539 is conventional Marklin e-lok layout - metal body, 5 pole motor, 2 axle powered.

T22604 is metal frame, plastic body 5 pole motor with flywheel and all 4 axle powered.. similar layout to their TRAXX-2 and ICE-1.

Interesting to see that Trix is apparantly moving away from sharing the tooling with Marklin and starts developing their own line independently. I like that they do 4-axle powered, but a bit put off with these *new* plastic body trend.

Wouldn't customer feel that Trix is now not that different to say, Roco?
(though I trust Trix would still be more durable, I suppose..)
Maybe they don't want to be seen as DC version of Marklin?
(which I actually thought is a good thing - and should be cheaper for both brands to share toolings from business perspective)

Also interesting is the fact that new SDS models like the new E41, Re 4/4 I, etc... are advertised as having a "centrally mounted can motor".

Hmmm... can't understand how Marklin is positioning Trix..
Luckily, I can say that I have no such concern with the selections that Marklin offers...wink
Now collecting C-Sine models.

I ordered a couple of Trix-waggons because of the different road numbers. I just wanted to say that in some cases the destination signs doesn't have the same "city-names" on them. So you get a different road number but also different destination signs. I guess that this could be OK, since trains can have waggons that are heading towards different end stations. But personally, I'll rather have the same road number than different destination signs...

Anyway, now you know...

Well, I'm not Lutz Pål. But I do have the "Stuttgart-sets". My 09 reads the same as yours (86271 Stg / 99491 Stg). So I guess Lutz just made some typos. Not so strange. After all, he had to write quite many...

Does someone know the roadnumber of Trix 22054?

(The 22053 is Bauart 1913, 96 025; T22703 = 96 020)
