One of the recent issues of 1-2-3 Leiter had a review (with excellent ratings) of a brand I am not famaliar with - Hobbytrade. It was of a Me26 DispoLok, in HO for 3-rail AC.

I checked out their website but very little is in english. They appear to make some very nice looking locomotives.

Can someone tell me of any hobby/train shops - with website - that carry this brand and do mailorder? I don't know of any in the USA (including eurolokshop, and they carry what I consider to be a lot of obscure european brands).

Hi Jonquinn - I was interested in their passenger wagons to go with the Danish Litra loco I have on order. They do have a web site (just google hobby-trade - probably ends with .dk). I contacted a Fleming Pedersen who referred me to a model train shop in Ottawa (Eisenbahn?). Two e-mails to them - no response. Probably the best thing is to deal with Denmark. You will have no trouble communicating with them in English.

There was some exchange not long ago on this forum - try a search for Hobby-Trade.

Jon and Hal - I'm also interested in Hobbytrade models but some of their Norwegian AC 3 rail HO locos. So, far I know NMJ has the NSB ones in stock but I've searched (without success) trying to find a dealer in North America that stocks or orders this brand and can fine none. When I order from Norway it costs about 80 USD or more and takes forever, but the model quality and service is great from NMJ.

For what it is worth here are the ones at NMJ:

Well, Hobbytrade and our Danish friends, there are at least two of us in the US that are at least 3 of us interested in what seem to be very fine products.

LokShop carry HobbyTrade items, but don't list tham as a manufacturer!
If you go to the Shop, and search on "HBT" keyword, about 162 items come up. For reasons best known to LokShop, the HobbyTrade items all have order numbers beginning with ESU...
Cheers,
Damon

ESU is the German distributor for Hobbytrade and HAG, and the European distributor for Precision Craft Models

One of the shops that i place my shopping in is Hobbykaeden.
It has a web-shop: www.hobbykaeden.dk

I am in no means conneckted to this shop other than being a happy coustommer and there for knows that they have Hobbytrade products on their shelfs.
Hope this will help.

Nev - I cannot locate ETS (except for the Czech firm that makes tinplate locos), do you have an internet web site address? Thanks.

Here's the list made by Hobbytrade, of dealers around (in Europe, and mostly Denmark.)
