Hi Pierre,

Where did you see this?
A very interesting news is the brand new Viessmann turnout motors and decoder kit. It costs about 24 EUR and features quiet and slow motion, unlike the spool operation.

I'm looking for the owner of that horse. He's tall, blonde, he smokes a cigar, and he's a pig!

Interesting turnout assembly. As to the new Viessmann motor, I have had one on order for many moons. Still waiting, with no motor in sight yet. I have talked to Roland Baer and he has talked to Vessmann...no indication yet as to when it will be avaialble.

It can be made with four 12,1° turnouts, a 18,3° crossing, a couple right tracks and some cutting + glueing + soldering. Plus some patience, of course.

I believe it is the result of good hand work.
A friend of mine has such a piece installed in his layout.

Well ... I just played with Photoshop last Sunday !Smile It was easier than build an actual double crossover ! [}:)]

More seriously, does someone have an idea how to do the same with K-Track elongated turnouts ? It seems to be imposible (?!) to do it with available turnouts and double slips.

By the way, it should be great if Märklin could develop new rails and turnouts both in the C and K families !

Pierre.

In K-track it is very possible. You have to cut bits and ends off both crossing and points, but I´ll say that it´s much easier than with C-track.

No, I havnt done it myself, but I have seen it used on several occasions.

If you want to construct a similar crossing without cutting the track and only use "allowed" combinations of track the crossing will be over 60 cm long. So this is a space saver, but you need some skill to pull it off.

I will buy Märklin 4644 BP tankerwagons that have the original box and are in good condition. (No broken details)

Hi,

I used the idea mentioned in http://www.thkas-moba.de...ml/hosentraeger-r2.html, for a slightly different position :

I believe a crossing like that can be made with:
2*24611
2*24612
2*24077
1*24649
