The Märklin, Trix, and LGB club news 4/2010 are online (for club members only).

120 159 in the current golden/silver livery comes as a 2010 Insider model (H0 and Z).

M* confirms that the TGV will have 2 motors.
Regards
Tom

4/2010 arrived today for me.. Once again it came by ship.. The letter is dated July 2010 and the competition cut off was September 19...

Not good service at all.. It looks like they are getting back to their bad habits again! Cursing

Competition? Which competition?
They had one on the club website - no letter required.

And Club News 5/2010 should be online any day soon.

Slow canoe for your archive, important information can be found on the Internet (here or on the club site).

You mean the free catalogue and Insider club 2010 wagon?

It is more about something taking 8 weeks to come from Germany to Australia in the 21st Century.. I would not have entered the competition - I was using it as an example of the time sensitive the content of these magazines..

As for the club site - the debacle with credit card payments means that I lost access to the club site and it has not been restored even though I have (finally) had the payment taken from my credit card.. In any case the club site was all in German and hard for me to work through..

Nup - I was referring to the fact that the delivery of the magazine started sometime in July and I did not get my copy until late September..

I stopped collecting the club car years ago and the Insider edition of the catalogue is not free down here because Marklin makes the dealer pay for the freight from Germany and the dealer (not unreasonably) expects full recovery from his customers.. So the only way I really know about new models is through this forum (usually too late to order) or through the Marklin Insider magazine (also arrives too late to order)..

Don't worry guys I will get over it.. It is not like there is anything I really needed to order from the magazine anyway..

The new club site is English and German, Märklin TV comes in German and English, you can download the Insider Club News in German and English.

You could send them an e-mail and ask for your password.

I'm still trying to get the Insider Club to renew the membership. They have the CC details, they have the renewal info, I don't know what their problem is. This outfit is the antithesis of German efficiency!

As we would say here in NZ "They couldn't organise a p*ss up in a Brewery!"

I have been trying to sign up for the insider club membership since June this year. Have applied on-line, faxed my app and also sent it by post - so far nothing has happened. My last option is to call them and do this on the phone (+49 7161 608222, got this from a forum member Rajnish)

I phoned them twice last year with CC details, and have been waiting for the club to charge the card with membership fees. I have also renewed membership for this year via Marklin USA, who have passed the info on to Germany. Despite all of that, the Insider Club tell me they terminated the membership because of non-payment.

How hard can it be to charge a credit card?? This is the 21st century after all.

If we all ran our businesses like this mob, we would be bankrupt very soon!

Well, it's not for me as such, the membership is for our club. I couldn't be bothered with this crap if it was for myself!
