Strange, in digital mode she makes good speed but in analog she's rather slow.

Since I'm the only one with this problem guess my poor dealer will have to fit her a new decoder.
But when he is at it - why not one with all those sounds inluded ... ThumpUp

Edit: Done - but stock decoder, again. It's never worth the investment for me.

Got my F7 A-B-B #37629 - and a true beauty she is. Mechanically perfect since classic heavy metal stuff, of course ThumpUpThumpUpThumpUp
Also her sounds are great, clear and strong - similar to my F7 A-B #37622 (though huge selection by more modern decoders ten years later).
Another piece of excellence (paint job, too) - congratulations, M !!! Now we want the very same triple-header in NYC livery, at last ... Laugh

Nice looking F7 John!!

As a question, did you get it through a USA dealer via Walthers or did you get it from a dealer overseas? I have one ordered from my local dealer but have not heard that Walthers have received them yet.

Thanks for the info John. I didn't think Walthers got them yet. I have a number of items that haven't hit there yet which is fine with me. I have to get the $$ together to purchase them anyways!! LOL!! And I understand there is a shutdown at Marklin in August for the mandatory(??) vacation time. Sounds like Formula 1 ... And then since my dealer is looking to take a vacation himself in September, I should have enough time to get my $$ lined up. Of course there are still other items that I have ordered that aren't out yet. Yikes!! More $$!! And my floor layout is apart too since I am building wood modules for it that will still sit on the floor. So no rush to get the items. For some reason Walthers is bringing in the Wabash Bluebird piecemeal and I actually passed up on the first delivery.

Enjoy that F7!!

Robert

John,

My contribution is a local, former railway, the Kingston and Pembroke - fondly referred to as the "Kick and Push". It was boldly started by a Mr. Flowers of New York to facilitate the mineral and forestry development in an area of the Canadian Shield, east of Ottawa. Sadly it never made it to Pembroke. Two bridges remain in the small town of Calabogie and the right of way is now used for snowmobiles and dirt bikes. Towns or ghost towns that owe their existance to the K&P, such as Flowers Station, are still on the map. My area is ringed by abandoned railways that ran out of steam as the natural resources in the area were depleted. They are very much part of local history and make for fascinating exploration. I have a collection of old spikes in my garage that someone will just shake their head at someday.

Cheers,

Mike

John,

A bit prettier than my spikes. The last spike on the Canadian Pacific was driven just outside of Banff, Alberta. Can't remember the date, but around the same time.

Cheers,

Mike

Well, a pity M's latest releases #37618 and 37628 return in the guise of that turnout squeezer A-B-A, again Tongue
There was hope Doc Pluta had taught M permanently to market operationally troublefree consists i.e. A-B and A-B-B ...
Talk about their most beautiful and also technically perfect F7s #26600, 37622, 37623 and 37629 ThumpUpThumpUpThumpUp

What bothers me way more is their bad choice of liveries. Since this community has gladly bought all of M's various NYC locos.
Hoping dearly, after MIKADO and PA-1, there 'd finally materialize an NYC-grey F7 in A-B or even A-B-B configuration - but nope.
And then they went for KANSAS CITY SOUTHERN's most funny livery at all - kinda kids toy squeeky-duck-red-yellow !!! Scared

UserPostedImage

WWAAI - a tiny bit of research (not much) would 've revealed KCS had way more liveries on their F7s. Here's one most elegant Cool

However, there's always a new year Tongue - with new business ...
Here come a few liveries we surely might buy - A-B or A-B-B, only. Take your pick Laugh

I agree the Kansas City Southern looks a bit odd, also a bit of a rare choice considering the limited amount US models produced by Marklin. The B&O is very good though, a common livery in this case. Disappointing that they are permanently connected as you have said, operationally problematic...but also just difficult to handle three united connected as such.

Agree ... might get this one. Perhaps. Since for operational reasons
I'll have to split her like my ARR F7 and also my D&RGW and SP PA-1s.
A bit tiresome cos for the latter I also had to fit 'em $$$ stock decoders ... Bored
