Makes probably the most tedious job in model railway scenery very easy.

Can't be explained better. Can we use this phrase in our ads? :)

Jeeze Peter,

I would have at least asked for one LOL
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

Save yours money!
This is what i do:
Just add ballast on the track by use the spoon.
Use brush to make nice ballast on the track.
Mix wood glue with the water 50:50 and add few drops of the dish liquid.
Shake it!
Spray isopropyl alcohol to counter static surface on the ballast.
Use piper to add mixed glue on the ballast.
Let it dry at least 9 hours.
Done!

Cool

What's a Piper ? Confused Confused Confused

A bagpipe player ?
A small airplane ?

Then I prefer the Proses ballast spreader & gluer tool, looks much more convenient than a pagpipe player on my layout.

Hi Goofy,

Though I am not in the same boat with Harun, I mean in his preference for trains, he is a bit far from the Märklin, with this invention of his, he has made a GREAT contribution for the layouts. I spend a whole year for ballasting my tracks. If I had had THIS gadget, it would have taken me only two or three days.

Cheers,

mehmet

Dear Mehmet, no doubt we are all in the same boat. :) the name of the boat is "Model Railroaders".

Nowadays it seems the boat is getting less crowded as young people are not hopping on our boat and good days are behind.

Hope it won't get worse.

Our Marklinist friend from Greece has left a bottle of Samos vine yesterday. Let's drink it together. :)

BigGrin Laugh I think you know that Goofy means a pipette. I know that there are ones available here with a squeeze bulb on the top end that makes sucking up a liquid supply and then dribbling it over the ballast quite easy.

Hmm the website I was going to look for one is down, so can't provide a reference ...

But I am sure you would really like a piper to sound the fact that you have completed the job ... Laugh Laugh Laugh

I could have sworn it was in "News from Märklin and others" ? Seams to me it qualified for the "others" part of the title.

Without a quote from most of the posts, probably a great tool for two rail operators, that's the different boat Mehmett was referring to. (two not three rail) Wink

For me to save time ballasting K Track, there is only one product Blink

MERKUR BigGrin
The one the professionals use, and cheapskates like me (well Merkur is not cheap I Know) but it totally allows you to reuse your track on another layout or indeed alter the layout, as well as wiring additions and alterations ThumpUp

Oh yes and if there is thread drift, perhaps it has turned into a party invite, just as well the world and most of us do not know Mehmett's address, but with the photos on Mehmett's thread, the locals might work it out, could be a facebook party crash rabble Scared
Mind you two bottles of fine Greek Wine won't go that far, so please enjoy quickly Gentlemen Wink

Prologue;
Proses make the excellent "snap and glue set" for holding your model building walls together at a perfect right angle see; http://www.ebay.com/itm/...eName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

notice; Proses ebay listings are under "aaronyam" and are at a lower price then US dealers that sell it in various currencies

note I have no connection with Proses or aaronyam other than an interest in the products because many of them are ideal for Marklinists Wink

" Every Marklin layout needs a V200, a Railbus and a Banana car", not to mention a few Black and red Steamers, oh and the odd Elok !

CS1 Reloaded, Touch Cab, C Track Modules, K track layout all under construction. Currently Insider
