Hi all,

First message here hope I ask correct forum part.

I bought 3 2270 turnouts from amazon.com with a great price a time ago . I did not use them for a while, last week I made couple of changes on my layout and decided to use them. But realised that my track was short circuited after connect 2270. I remove everthing is fine, than measured resistance between tracks, a shockgin 2 ohm in every position. 3 of them are same. Is anyone experienced like this or any trick to fix them, I am out of return window unfortunatelly...

Thanks in advance...

Hello Teme.
Welcome!

Are you connecting those turnouts on an AC (3-rails) or DC (2-rails) layout?

Cheers,

Walter

Hello Teme.

Sorry to say, but you have a wrong piece of track for your layout. Short circuits are supposed to happen in your case.

Märklin 2270 is to be used in an AC layout (3-rails, ground on outside rails and positive on center rail).

Since you have a DC layout (2-rails, ground on one rail and positive on the other), you cannot use then on it.

Cheers,

Walter
