Hey Everyone,

I m experiencing yet another issue with my z scale br24, the middle axle wobbles when driving forward. I checked the quartering and it seems ok (I attached a picture of it), found no bend axle(s) and the engine is about 2 years old. Is this a common occurance with these type of locos, is it wear (and thus normal) or is something else going on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Certainly does not sound like normal wear especially if it is fine in reverse.

Re-quarter it, as in take it apart and put it back together.

No, this is not a common issue.

Hey Frank,

Do you have any advise on how to properly put the wheels back in since it looks to me that the quartering is right and thus I must be using the wrong method I guess?

Thanks for the help,

Kristof

The main concern is that the rods are free to move during the entire rotation of the wheels. If they lock or are tight at any portion of a single rotation, there will be a hitch.

Hey Frank,

Thanks for the reply (and sorry for my late answer). I don t seems to be able to find any lock in the rotation at any point. I have tried several times to replace the wheels in the loco but the issue stays. Isn t there a video tutorial out there (I haven t found any) on how to put the wheels back in on the br24?
