My upgraded-to-digital loc worked fine under Mobile Station (Mikado). I bought a Mobile Station 2 (60653) and connection box (60113)
and it stopped working. It's a loc NS1100 (art. number 3327) with a 6090 decoder.
On its own Mobile Station 2 cannot "find" the loc, so I had to program it manually. Even then, no frontlight, no movement.
Anyone any idea what I could have done wrong? I've tried several addresses, but nothing. When I go back to Mobile
Station (Mikado), everything is fine.
TIA for any suggestions.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Make sure red wire goes to B (centre rail) and brown wire goes to 0 (outer rails).
Did you try a factory reset of the MS2?

Well, the 6090 decoders are not automatically recognized since they are not mfx so you will have to add the loco with an address to the MS2.
The 6090 decoders have DIP-switches from where you can read out the address via the address tables in instruction sheets that accompany
every 6090 loco or download the "switch" software available here and put the switches in the program to what they are in your loco.
However, you need to open the loco to see the 6090 switch settings.

Thank you for responding so quickly.
Yes, the red and brown connectors are correctly connected to the C-rails.
Indeed, webmaster, I opened the loc and know what the value is of the dipswitches.
At the moment this is set to address 72.
I followed the instructions of the manual as follows:
New loco > Enter Manually > MM2 Coding Switches >Domain 72 > OK
Give it a name and symbol. That's it.
At the moment one of the frontlights is burning, but it cannot be switched to the other side,
at is can only be swithed off with the Stop switch.
Thanks for further advice.

Well, what do you know. After several times reprogramming MS2 it suddenly
worked. I don't know why it did not work before, but I'm happy it works ok.
Thanks for your patience, and all the best.
