Nice article about OO and the American, British, and German interpretations of the scale.
Era II/III H0, 00. Märklin 700, 800, 3000 series. Fleischmann. Hag and other Swiss brass. Hornby AcH0 & French metal. Penn Line. Rivarossi: 1/80. Trix Express. CIWL, TEE enthusiast. Creglinger, Faller, Kibri Holzpappe & tinplate.

Even within the same range there can be some interesting interpretations, you still see them now if a manufacturer has kept some old tooling going.

Hornby's attempt at an LNER J83 is one of the more egregious examples. It's a very old model and somewhat overscale for unknown reasons!
