New to the Forum. New to digital operation.
1.Lots of discussion on MFX decoders and changing CV values for optimum brake appearance. Is there any standard to set the CV value to in performing the slow stop we want at the station?
2. I have temporarily attached Marklin reed switches to the brake module. My loco stops at the station in one direction. I noticed that the train can run through the same section in reverse as long as the brake module remains open (until it activated by the second reed switch)does this seem correct?
3. I have a newer CS2. I downloaded current updates via internet. Am I to assume if the update shows to 3.8 that all other updates have been incorporated into my CS2? How would I know?

Thanks in advance.

More questions to come.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.

Re 1:
IMHO everybody has to find the "personal" optimal values depending on preferred speed and length of brake section.

Re 3:
Open the Update dialogue. If all items in the list on the left are grey except for "Evergreen" than the CS2 is up-to-date.
Regards
Tom
