Hi!

There is a German press article where Florian Sieber spake about Märklin's sales figures:
http://www.wiwo.de/unter...ie-zukunft/11271568.html

Quote:
Obviously they changed their fiscal year to run from May through April. Sales for the fiscal year 2014/2015 are predicted to be around €98m after €101m in the year before, but with stable profit (no figure given for the profit).

In an older article he gave the 2013 sales as €105m (with expected sales of €112m). These figures were for a fiscal year from January through December. Sales were €107m in 2012 and €108.77m in 2011.
Regards
Tom

"After the bankruptcy two years ago, the traditional model railway manufacturer Märklin is well prepared for the future. The mother, meanwhile, suffers from poor Simba Dickie Russia-shops.

After a year of transition, the traditional model railway manufacturer Märklin looks ready for the future. "We are now on a really good base, both production and market side," CEO Florian Sieber said on Thursday evening in Fürth. Last year Marklin have invested heavily in the rearward displacement of tools and molds from China as well as in the expansion of the plant in Hungary.

In addition, we have refrained from revenues from discount offers. The turnover in the preceding end of April to the end of the financial year 2014/2015 will therefore decrease from 101 million euros to around 98 million euros, Sieber said. The gain is stable.

Märklin came two years ago after a bankruptcy proceedings under the wing of the Frankish Simba Dickie Group, but is still an independent company. To the family include the brands Simba Dickie and that Bobby-Car manufacturers Big, Smoby, Schuco and Eichhorn.

The reluctance of Russian buyers and the devaluation of the ruble and other currencies Simba Dickie added last year. "2014 was not an easy year, we are in the result but still got off with a slap on the wrist," said CEO Michael Sieber, father of Florian Sieber, on Thursday evening in Fürth.

The total turnover of the Group decreased by 4.5 percent to 602 million euros. "The income is only slightly decreased compared to 2013," Duschl said. "Otherwise, the earnings good, stable and very stable.

The Simba Dickie Group got the political crisis in Eastern Europe and the currency depreciation in several countries in 2014 clearly felt. Only in Russia - 2013 reveals the third most important market for the group - are the revenues plummeted by 20 percent, according to Chief Financial Officer Manfred Duschl. It adds a conditional currency fell by a further 15 percent in the designation of its sales in euros. The situation is similar at a lower level in Ukraine was.

Despite the continuing tense situation Simba Dickie wants to grow this year a total return of 2.5 percent. "
