I got a new MS2 today
I can get my Marklin Locos to work fine when i go into the Database etc and MFX locos work fine,
My problem is i have a HAG RE460 and i dont know its address could you please tell me how can i get this loco working.I went in a tried to do manually and i hit the find function n lights blink etc but the loco runs real slowly n wont power up
I would also like to know how can i get a loco to go when i know its address as i tried to do it manually and couldnt so basically i want to type in address 3 and away i go is it that simple please help.

Try using a different address say 150. Address 3 is very common for DCC operation.

If you don't know the address, put the loco on the track all alone and then select Detect Loco (or something like that) in the MS2.
Loco detection works pretty good for DCC locos.

Hi!

I suspect that you have one of the older HAG analog locomotives which is probably why the loco is not responding to MS2. As far as I recall, HAG has been factory fitting the digital versions with ESU decoders which came factory set with address 3 (unless someone has changed the address on the ESU decoder on your model).

Thanks for your help the find feature is working fine your help is very much appreciated.
I take it with the FX Decoders say 39833 and 39832 both of them have address 16 so if i want to run them on the same layout will i need to change one loco address.
I can now even change the names with the MS2 i feel a real Expert i wish.
