Hey Ice 1 Smile

On my website, I have several articles on building a winter diorama. Perhaps they can help you out.

I use Woodland Scenics Soft Snow Flakes (SN140). It is a great product!

There is also this great video on Youtube on how to model a winter scene:

I once made a small diorama using a "winter-set" from Faller.
The result was OK, but I wasnt really impressed with the contents of the set; There were some icicles (transparent plastic), some stuff to mix with water, to create a thick layers of "snow". (It still had to be painted white; therefore one part of my lack of impression!), plastic spatula and some fine silver "glitter". I thought the glitter was too coarse (there my other part of lack of impression).

Should I do it today, I would go for white-dyed plaster and some MUCH MORE fine glitter. Icicles you can do yourself too; heating and pulling out the sprues from "window-glass" from model houses.
Best regards
