Just picked up from the German Stummi forum.
Some German sellers say there we will be a one time series BR 89.
And indeed a series BR41 as one time series, could be a set of two loco's for two era's.
And productnumbers for new C track, including the longly awaited slim crossing turnout.

It is going to be an interesting fair!

30001 – Dampflok BR 89 der DB, Ep. III, Einmalserie(?) – 79,95 € -,
37229 – Elektrolokomotive E94 in fiktiver schwarzer Farbgebung, Auflage: 999 Stück – UVP = ???,?? € -,
37929 – Dampflok BR 41 der DB, Ep. III, mfx+/Sound, Einmalserie – 499,95 € - und
42179 – Schnellzug-Steuerwagen Typ EW IV Bt der SBB, Ep. V, Neuauflage (?)– 89,95 €.

We still have not seen what Maerklin will announce as Export Models. I could see the SBB pilot coach to go with the 42152/42160 sets, but I don't think Maerklin would announce track as Export models. They may yet be coming as Summer or Fall New Items. We will find out more as we get closer to the Messe.

I think the 37929 BR41 will be Borsig Edition 4 as record that BR41 was build by Borsig and about ten others. Maybe next Summer new items 2015 with C-tracks.

I have 37229 on order last week with UK members Nigel and Glenn order it as well. I guess the 37229 is very high collector soon!

That would make sense for the Br41, at that price. The 499 Euro price seems to equate to having a wooden box or display case for a single loco. I couldn't understand them producing another Br41 this year, after producing one in 2014 with mfx+. The other telling factor is that the catalogue number ends in a 9 which is often used for special models in a series.

My pick would be the track will be announced in herbst NI, so it becomes Christmas presents ... but am prepared to be surprised with it being announced in the summer.

Update : 2015 Fall New Items : 25 Aug 2015

The 2 new curved points are announced under the catalogue items 24771 and 24772.
Each needs a PAIR of 24315 (also a new piece) which is like the 24071 for the large radius point in that it has removable roadbed to allow fitting in the cramped space

The closest geometry (of the two speculative diagrams below) is the left one with R3 transitioning to R4

24470 : Deflectors pair, each R4 = 579.3 mm / 30 °. Outside bend 30 ° at a parallel distance 64.3 mm.

I wonder if anything can be read into this marketing decision to package up a "pair" of these turnouts. I am not aware of an equivalent for the 24671/24672.
Is it possible that there may be a prices compromise to help move the product?

Quote:

24471 : Left Curved Turnout, R4 = 579.3 mm / 30 °. Outside bend 30 ° at a parallel distance 64.3 mm.
24472 : Right Curved Turnout, R4 = 579.3 mm / 30 °. Outside bend 30 ° at a parallel distance 64.3 mm.

The terminology "outside bend" is a bit confusing.

For comparison the 24671/72 are essentially R1 curves with an (77.5mm) extension to facilitate alignment with R2 (and at a pinch R3)
Therefore while essentially using R1 curves the outside bend might allude to R2 to make it sound better

So if the 24471/2 are in fact R4 with an (64.3mm) extension - this means a transition to R5. BUT NO R3->R4
Or is the description inconsistent and maybe mean R3 (515.0mm) transitioning to the R4 (579.3mm - being the outside radius equivalent) - and at a pinch to R5

On the face of it the 2nd image is more likely. Of course there may be annother unanounced 24371/2 pair waiting in the wings

In case you cannot wait, you could still buy the 37924,a BR41 with Wagner elephant ears.
Nice machine for around Euro 300.- on internet.

Just found on an American website, the BR41 Marklin 37929 as advertised.
My old eyes cannot read the cabinnumber, could be a picture of an earlier version, used for the purpose.
If the picture is correct,it is an era III loco with Witte elephant ears and old type boiler.

But the image was 37923? , Running number was same.

PS - the RRP price is 479,95EUR (not the 499).

Two facts to remember:

A) Marklin Magazin 50 years this year.

http://c.tutti.ch/images...azin-1965-8852732433.jpg

B) Marklin 3000 tenderloco some 60 years this year.

Something to celebrate?
