In a continuation of this topic (Marklin shop advertising), I'd like to know how many (or if any) other members have any of these classic signs/posters from around the early 70's?

There are 13 at least that I know of, I have these two shown, the 3094 and 3075 and I have images of the other 11 to follow.

They are about A3 size, mounted on cardboard with a fold-out support at the rear to be free-standing.

I don't recall ever seeing them on Ebay, but a question for our native German friends, what would be the correct description for searching any of these in Deutsche?

The absence of any reply could mean...

1: No one has any of these
2: No one has seen any of these
3: No one is interested in these

Let's hope it's not #3.

(** New topic created to avoid confusion with the previous one about a different style of signs)

Here are a couple more.....

Hi,

Here's another one at the back ground. Picture is taken in the mid 60's when I had this layout
in my uncles house. I haven't found it yet but it must be at my fathers house.

Thanks Åke that's brilliant, exactly what I'm looking for and the 3030 is one I've don't have even a small image of and also one of my favourite loco's.

1: Let me know when you find it. ThumpUp

2: And when you do, by any chance do you have access to an A3 colour scanner, or have a print-shop nearby where you could get a good quality scan made to email to me? Drool

Once you have the image, if you have access to an A3 colour printer you can print a series of your own.

I am happy to share the two I have (3075 & 3094) in hi-resolution if anyone would like to try printing their own?

That's a shame, hopefully it's just been put away somewhere safe and sound and will turn up eventually.

But your message reminded me to continue posting the images of the ones I know about....

And the last two that I have - one of them is very interesting, if anyone cares to comment?

Well, it looks very much like the Br38 with tub tender that I have as one of the Primex items from the W&W auction ...

Is it about the colour of the V60? It looks more Yellow than red.
Ray
Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways
Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Exactly Ray, bang on. I have never seen a Yellow V-60 (260) in the standard issue (ie catalogued).

There is one referenced in Kolls but it's a much later model and different livery again.

I wonder if this was a printing error, perhaps wrong colour specified to the printer, or perhaps M intended a Yellow version but it never happened?

Of all the A3 Cardboard posers I've seen this is the only one that has such a colour difference.

Could it be sun-faded?, unlikely because the 3075 poster is ok.

Cheers

I've been skimming through old collecting topics and came across this one concerning the Marklin display boards. Firstly apologies if there are more replies than I have read and I'm repeating previous responses (may have even been mine!!).
Firstly the V-60 poster. I have two of these they are exactly the same other than the loco colour, one is a reddy-orange the other yellow. Red is the worst colour for fading and undoubtedly this is the cause of the colour differences, the amount of fade will depend how long it has been in the sunlight and how strong the sun was.
As for total numbers of the boards I have asked this question of several serious German collectors and no one seems to know. I have 17 and there are two distinct types, the early ones have a sort of padded form due to the way the edges of the picture are folded over the back board, which is left exposed. Later boards are flat with brown paper pasted over the back to hide the folded edges.

Roger

G'day Roger,

You might recognise some of those sign photos, I took them when I visited you in '07 :-)
