Most of my Marlin gear dates from the early 1980s, but I just acquired a 6001/6021 set (new in box!) and a loco marked 044 534-6. Loco has a four DIP switch located in the tender. By setting all switches to on, I was able to control it using address 80. I actually bought the loco thinking it was a 3047 Heavy Goods Locomotive. But when I saw the slider was on the tender, I knew that was wrong. Very pleasant surprise when I opened the tender and saw the DIP switch.

I have another engine coming. Listed as a 3032, labeled 81 002 and also has a 4 DIP switch in it, and am really looking forward to multi-train operations!

My question: Deos anyone have a manual for my 044 534-6 loco? It came in a 3047 box with no paperwork. I think it is really a 37880. Fortunately my 6021/6001 units came with manuals & all original accessories.

This is my first post, so please forgive me if this is in the wrong section. My interest is era II/III, older (less expensive) digital railroading.

Hi,
And welcome to the forum.

With four DIP switches it will be a 34880 with a Delta decoder.
I found a manual for 37883:
Code:
http://medienpdb.maerklin.de/product_files/1/pdf/37883_betrieb.pdf
Märklin don't allow deep linking, so copy the URL to the address field.
This manual should show maintenance &c.

See page 21 in this manual for possible decoder addresses:
Code:
http://medienpdb.maerklin.de/product_files/1/pdf/34750_betrieb.pdf

Spare parts list for 34880:
https://www.maerklinshop...d=2&mn=mklshopwindow

The 81 002 is from a 29185 starter set, also with Delta decoder.
Regards
Tom
